About
I'm a man in my early twenties and I am somewhat of a recluse. I'm currently studying software engineering with a specialization in web development, and I briefly dabbled in quantum computing as well.
This site is my personal blog, a place where I can freely write about whatever I want. I don't intend to limit myself to any particular subject matter. The primary purpose of this site is (or should be) introspection and the cultivation of my interests. I want to be able to properly voice my thoughts and opinions and learn how to write with sincerity. Additionally, I would like to meet like-minded people, as well as learn about new topics from those who are passionate about them.
My main hobby is reading - specifically classic literature, as this is what I find most interesting. This hobby is something I've taken up relatively recently, but it has become one of my favorite things to do. I read books on my eReader, a Kobo Clara BW, which has been wonderful. There are so many more books for me to read, and it's very exciting; please feel free to send me your recommendations!
I have a troubled relationship with programming. Not much reasoning went into picking it as my major beyond having had introductory programming classes in high school and needing to attend university, lest I continue my hikikomori ways. I want to learn to enjoy it and improve for the sake of my own fulfillment, rather than for the sake of good grades or career prospects. I intend to practice by building interesting projects and I would like to share them with you all here.
My other interests include, but aren't limited to, speedcubing, language learning (Japanese in particular), and (digital) painting. I suspect that these will make an appearance on the site as well.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope to see you again soon!

A selection of books, music albums, and films that I like. These will be switched out or moved around on a semi-regular basis. (Not all slots are filled right now as I'm rather indecisive. Regardless, I wanted to have this on the site as a proof of concept for the layout and style.)
